I often have to scrub dried glue off my hands before giving a massage and Healing Touch session. My clients are very understanding and even seem appreciative of the fact that my hands move from canvas to body. The common thread in these two life activities is healing. On canvas and on body I trust a process of stripping the "debris" from a medium to discover personal and universal truths.

The principal truth I am discovering in this journey is non-duality - my belief that all life is connected.

I use magazine pictures as my palette and images to symbolize our stories and the work of people. The raggedy canvases left after the stripping process symbolizes life's heartbreaking pain and beauty. The breakthrough comes when 'i love the way it is' and move on to the next clear canvas.

In my healing touch practice I reverse the process. I begin by 'loving the body the way it is'...pain and all. That is when healing begins.
