Maud Lipscomb began taking photography seriously in the early 80's as a student with the Rice University Continuing Studies Program. In the early 90's her studies at the Glassell School of Art took her to another level with the discovery of Polaroid transfers. A few years later she developed a body of work consisting of transfers from her own and found images. She continues to express herself with a kind of a collage which she now calls Trans-ferings

Maud works in a studio space at the Houston Foundry. She has participated in several exhibitions in and around Houston Texas. Most recently she was part of a group exhibition at The Nance Street Gallery. Other shows include a two person show titled Journey at The Foundry. In December 2004 she was part of a group show at Galveston College entitled TRANSITIONS.

Maud is currently preparing for her first major solo show in September at the Jung Center in Houston Texas.
